Byron Bagby is Managing Partner of BMB Solutions, LLC, an independent consulting firm providing services in executive leadership development and strategy development. He retired from the U.S. Army at the rank of Major General. He joined the Ryan Consulting Group Board of Advisors in 2015.
General Bagby’s Army career included service as: Commandant of Joint Forces Staff College; Chief Operating Officer of the Office of Military Cooperation in Cairo, Egypt, managing security cooperation programs valued at $1.3 billion annually; and Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Army, Europe, directing all the activities of over 1,000 people in 30 locations, in nine countries. His duties include the Pentagon on the Joint Staff and Department of the Army Staff.
He is a certified True Growth Leadership facilitator and a certified Authentic Leadership Development Coach. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Management Support Technology, Inc. and on the Boards of Trustees of William Woods College and Columbia Southern University.
Byron has earned many decorations and honors, including: two Army Distinguished Service Medals; the Ranger Tab; the Master Parachutist Badge; the Westminster College Lifetime Alumni Achievement Award; and has been inducted into the Fulton Public Schools Hall of Fame. He is a life member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He earned his B.A. in Economics from Westminster College and his M.Ed. in Adult Education from UNC Chapel Hill.
