Ryan Consulting Group’s (RCG) Program and Project Management services are integrated into every customer solution delivery. Our approach follows the industry standard framework defined by the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) 5th Edition as illustrated in the figure below. This framework enables us to deliver the project management capability required by our customers in a consistent and repeatable manner and it has been highly successful in both Commercial and Government projects.

However, RCG does realize every project is different and will require an appropriate strategy that aligns with the client’s enterprise goals and maximize the opportunities to progress toward meeting costs, schedule, and project scope. More importantly, our philosophy centers on ensuring these projects and programs contribute to the customers’ overall strategic goals.

Every implementation begins with establishing an understating of the customer’s environment and tailoring support to meet the intended outcomes of the project. With this in mind, our team will develop a customized project management plan that leverages existing organizational management practices and augments these practices as required.  At a minimum, the project management plan will address the following areas:

  • Program Overview
  • Program Plan (Schedule)
  • Spend plan (Cost)
  • Requirements Management (Scope)
  • Risk Assessment
  • Communications Management
  • Risk Management
  • Quality Assurance
  • Earned Value Management (only included when explicitly include in the statement of work)
Human Capital Management
RCG has experienced and certified program and project managers to meet customer requirements. We also invest in project management training provided our clients the best talent available to manage their projects. With organic human resource management and technical recruiting, RGC also has the capability to support staff augmentation or placement services.

Our Program Manager will develop the Program Management Plan for the contract to plan the deliverables and controls necessary to achieve program requirements. This plan also ensures client needs are defined, understood and realized according to the agreed plan. Controls within our Program Management Plan include: Program Overview, Program Plan (Schedule), Spend plan (Cost), Operating Process, Risk Assessment, YSI-RKH LLC (internal) and client (external) specific program metrics used for monitoring (Time, Performance, Cost), and Training Requirements.
